Yaiza is named after an aboriginal princess. Situated at the crossroads of tourist attractions, this beautiful town can be a good stop before starting the visit of Timanfaya Park. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay, this can also be a good indication. In the village there are some old buildings such as the Benito Perez Armas house and the hermitage of los Remedios, built at the end of the seventeenth century. It is also the starting point for many hikes: seven tourist trails through Los Ajaches that last between 25 minutes and 1 hour and a half and are all of low difficulty.
