The pebbly beach of Myrties is home to a small port where caiques sail to and from the islet of Telendos. To the north, the wide bay of Massouri is home to a beautiful sandy beach that is quite popular in summer. The overhanging establishments, charming hotels and excellent tavernas, are more expensive than elsewhere, but you'll also find inexpensive options: this is where climbing enthusiasts come, close to the island's legendary rock faces (remember to book in advance during the autumn festival). Finally, Armeos - less popular - boasts translucent waters. The whole area offers splendid views of Telendos, the sea and the sunset.
