A real crossroads in the center of the island, the village welcomes visitors with a wide range of local products: the famous kitron, but also ouzo, pottery and ceramics, hats and hand-sewn clothes, jams and candied fruits, art photographs, etc. One can enjoy the narrow streets that lead up to the Gratsia tower dating from the Venetian period (inhabited, it cannot be visited, but one can admire the carved coat of arms at the entrance) and the frescoes of the churches such as Panaghia Protothroni, one of the oldest in Naxos. Halki is also surrounded by a myriad of hamlets and villages that are worth a walk.
