2 km north of Aghios Kirikos is Therma, whose municipal baths are open from 8 am to 1 pm. The curative properties of these baths have been known since ancient times: the hot water (43-58°C) is ideal for rheumatism and joint diseases. Another curative water source is located at the end of the bay, under a natural cave dug by the sea: people come here freely to enjoy the benefits of a natural cure, bathing in the sea. Look for the Spilia sign: a ladder descends into the waters of the thermal cave.Beyond these thermal waters, the village of Therma offers a pleasant stay, in the quiet of its small sandy bay, nicely nestled at the foot of the surrounding hills. Taverns and quiet cafes line the beach, and a few hotels and inns offer rooms. It is an ideal base to recharge your batteries, in complete tranquillity, but beware of the crowds in season: it is difficult to find accommodation here and parking quickly becomes a real headache.
