The name Alishan or Ali Mountain was given to celebrate Ali, a great hunter from the Tsou tribe, who lived in the forest more than 250 years ago. This mountain town is very popular with the Taiwanese. You have to admit that at an altitude of 2,200 metres, Alishan is a breath of fresh air in summer in a Taiwan with such insane temperatures. Even in the hottest months, the mercury rises to around 18°C. In winter, the temperatures approach 0°. The weather conditions are extraordinary, and there are also some popular attractions: the magnificent sunrise over the Chushan mountain and the typical little train going through the forest
