Due to changes in elevation (between 800 m and 3,000 m), the climate in the park varies completely. It can be temperate, alpine, tropical or subtropical, and the vegetation is obviously disturbed. To get a good overview of this 1,400 ha park, the Alishan Loop Hike is the best option. Departing from Alishan House, it covers a distance of 4 km dotted with several curiosities: the sacred millennial trees, the Buddhist temple Cihyun, the Taoist temple Shouzhen, the corridor of red cypresses and the bridge of the sisters.

Very pretty walk in the heart of some ponds, ancient and huge trees. Superb view of the valley with recumbent the sun sea cloud.
