This village is beautifully preserved, quiet and traditional. Halfway between Písaq and Ollantaytambo, this is a good option to spend a night. It is only a 15 minute taxi ride (a little more in motorcycle taxis which also go there) from Urubamba where there are more restaurants. Some nice walks are to be planned on the heights. The landscapes between Calca and Yucay are sublime. One finds in particular on the heights the waterfall of Arin, a nice walk of approximately 30 minutes. Between these two main villages are established some important lodges like el Inkaterrra Hacienda Urubamba or el Aranwa Sacred Valley surrounded by nature.
