It was one of the former large sugar estates of the island and its remains are still visible on your right along the river. At the bend in the road, you can see a few traditional huts with the beautiful red earth and, below, the small fruit and vegetable market run by the bouénis. Next to it, the men will offer you some worked or carved bamboos.Continuing straight ahead, before arriving at Hamouro, the dry forest immediately contrasts with the dominant greens you have seen before. Superb views towards the islets!
