Tsararano means in Malagasy "where the water is good". A former village of gratte or tobé, when the road did not exist. Saandati Saidi, a well-known singer in Mayotte in the deba milieu (traditional dance of the island reserved exclusively for women), is originally from this village. We are only a dozen kilometers south of Mamoudzou after all. At the crossroads of Tsararano, you will find a bakery and some bouénis selling their fruits and vegetables. You will also find local grocery stores "douka" in most of the streets as it is done a lot in Mayotte. It is possible to reach Coconi or Sada by this transversal road. This national road allows to cross fields of banana trees and ylang-ylang and letchis. At the pass of Ongoujou, it can be interesting to go up to breathe the atmosphere. You can buy coconut water in 1.5 liter bottles, but you can also find oranges, bananas, tomatoes..
