From Chiconi, you can make a detour to Sohoa, a small village with certainly the most charming access to the beach in Mayotte. A few outrigger canoes, welcoming inhabitants, a lively beach on weekends, popular and family-oriented, we like Sohoa for that. In the past, Sohoa was famous for its outrigger canoe initiation centre (construction and navigation) and for its pottery, unfortunately these skills are disappearing as time goes by. At the level of the old pottery of the village, next to the grocery store, a road leads to a pretty sandy beach, dotted with farés and very popular with the Mahorais on weekends for the wanted!
