Take its time to discover this tiny village, one of the most beautiful villages in France, nestled in a vallon where the Senouire stretches up before joining the Allier, a few kilometers away. A dark and virile beauty of the plateau of La Chaise-Dieu responds to the gentle douceur of Lavaudieu, the valley of God. It is probably the summer, when the balconies illuminate, that it is the most pleasant to stroll through these turbulent alleys surrounding the medieval Benedictine abbey. You will be able to leave your car at the bottom of the village, on the parking lots near the Senouire, to explore the banks. Around the fountain, we would probably envy the inhabitants of this place over time, from this village which was able to resist this frantic race which is all too often imposed on us.
