Let's just say that Marguerite is one of 8 Brasseries breweries. If one could hope better for this wonderful place after a resounding start, say that today it offers a price-price ratio that makes us hesitate (despite a drop in tariffs this year, still an effort! Some can do better for cheaper, certainly in less prestigious premises…). Nevertheless, the terrace and the garden of this bourgeois house at the beginning of the th century offer a splendid setting at our meal, which the residence of Marguerite Lumière (the wife of Auguste Lumière) receives us in a sumptuous decor to savour a cuisine of fine tradition prepared by Chef Francesco Santin is fun to revisit the tradition of such a bourgeois cuisine. This summer: Scandinave-marinated salmon, soup of melon servie with ice-cream, a plancha bar net, a pan-fried beef fillet, or a peanut baked veal nut. A romantic, romantic address that lends itself to dinner dinners as well as business meals, family meals and other receptions thanks to five privatisables lounges. Beautiful fish, including a cod back to both citrus fruits or mullet fillets with ginger, as well as roasted lamb chops to the goat and coriander a carry of Indian chicken for flavours. A fine selection of wines with a glass, the music is bercer and you become a festival in the light of the projected short films. New of the year, all dishes are now available.

What could you get to the Cross-Rousse to come and eat lunch at the Boulevard du Boulevard? Of course, if you are told that homemade lasagna are among the best we have eaten and that Chile is of the same ilk, it is a first incentive to get out of your home. But the real reason that will make you go to the plateau, to this neighborhood bistro that has been in place for a long time in the middle of the cross of the Croix-Rousse, is that it has been renovated with a lot of taste by a true roussien that makes it a spirit of conviviality as you love them. On the benches of the large hall, on the colourful chairs of the large terrace, sheltered in the adjoining rooms, you also enjoy a warm welcome. Whether you're a market day for refreshment, ice or drink, or you're setting up for a full and generous meal, the smile is always the same and it's not uncommon to share its good mood with neighbors. A true bistro to the free food that cultivates something rare: happiness.

Very close to Part-Dieu, in a quiet street, La Bartavelle plunges us into a world very different from that of the concrete towers, the vastness of the shopping centre. La Bartavelle is an authentic neighbourhood bistro just the way we like it. Small and pleasant terrace on the street with red table and away from the hustle, another interior terrace even quieter, warm room where people like to sit in a friendly atmosphere, without fuss, not too far from a bar that would have thousand stories to tell. Here, we are at the disposal of the customers with a sincere smile. The food is just like the reception. The sincerity, the authenticity and we do not want to do what we do not know how to do! We simply prepare what we can make in the kitchen. The dishes are seasonal, the products are fresh, a really good food as we like it in Lyon, offering generous and tasty dishes. A daily menu of this spring: zucchini Tartar and marinated shrimps or carpaccio of veal with Parmesan and basil; to be continued with a roll pork tenderloin with chorizo juice with cognac polenta, an excellent Limousin beef tartare with a knife or a coalfish fillet with eggplant caviar virgin olive oil; to finish with an apple tart or chocolate cake. With a complete lunch menu at €15.40, La Bartavelle is a godsend in that you should enjoy, word of Futé.

This Nord (French for "North") is quite relative, since it is located in the heart of the Lyon Peninsula. The first brasserie open by Paul Bocuse - already 23 years ago with the takeover of Le Nord, famous Lyon brasserie inaugurated in 1907 by Edouard Herriot - is thus in a side street, within walking distance from Rue de République. One of the signatures of the Brasseries Bocuse is the verandas that allow you to enjoy the show of a little dark street throughout the year. You will undoubtedly prefer the traditional and cordial room. As usual, flawless reception and service to offer us the opportunity to taste "traditional", like the place. The upper floor offers private lounges where it is pleasant to discuss with colleagues or in family in a cosy atmosphere. You settle down on the red seats and you discover the specialties of an almost unchanging menu that are, according to the seasons, the sauerkraut and the Burgundy snails with parsley butter. Here, the cuisine known as "middle-class" is in its kingdom and you come to enjoy the suggestions of the Chef Franck Barrouilhet: warm sausage with pistachio in brioche, duck foie gras terrine, a mix of griddled fillets of market fish, a pike quenelle with lobster sauce, the chicken fricassee of calf kidneys with mustard... Without forgetting the Grandmother waffles which have contributed to the reputation of the place. A very classic address, in the best sense of the word.

How beautiful the nights of Beirut are! This is what the "Layali Beyrouth" brand literally means, this Lebanese establishment's sweet name. Nights which are all the more beautiful that the room has just been renovated with a new Oriental-style decor and that you can always enjoy the pleasant terrace in the peaceful Rue du Dauphiné. Nights and days when you come to enjoy the cuisine of an experienced chef, a graduate of cooking in Lebanon and who has practised his talents for two years at the Crillon hotel, a reference. To miss nothing in all the delights of a traditional cuisine and a menu where you will find the classics (hommos, tabbouleh, moussaka, moutabbal...) and specialities, especially excellent raw meat made on order (kibbeh nayeh, habra nayeh, kafta nayeh, frakeh jnoubiyeh), you will, of course, be recommended the remarkable mezze which bring us all the happiness of the city of knowledge and pleasures. It is possible to order platters for groups, made according to everyone's desires. You can accompany the whole by a Lebanese wine (kefraya and ksara), before falling for the pleasures of homemade pastries (mouhalabieh, moughleh, osmaliyeh...). Adorable service to help us discover a country during a wonderful meal. Smart address.

From the station of Brotteaux and its amazing decor, we look towards Dombes and Bresse. A brasserie with a refined buffet station's setting with a small advertising train going around the room and many "attractions" which make this place a truly "different" one. One of the breweries at the cardinal points on behalf of Paul Bocuse and one of the most convivial. Chef Cyril Marlard prepares great classic with a Caesar salad of the East, a Bömlo salmon marinated in Scandinavian way, a very delicious homemade foie gras cooked in earthenware or the Lyon-style pan-fried thinly sliced veal liver, veal liver in Lyon's way, the Bresse chicken roasted on a pit, without missing the very traditional rum baba. A serious address as all the Bocuse brasseries.

When we go to the family, it is not always a pleasure. There, it is the opposite and you go to this family a smile to the lips - after having reserved, it is more prudent than to take a place by a distant cousin - and the desire to stomach to taste a good dish of season. If time permits, we take advantage of the terrace overlooking a small street, or you can take refuge in a trendy bistro room with family portraits hanging across the walls. Kitchen side: respect for products, simple but refined flavours, fine dishes, fine cuts for which we take the time. Please note that the family always offers a vegetarian dish. This summer, when the heat didn't open up the appetite especially, a round zucchini stuffed with small vegetables, eggs and roasted potatoes made it (the appetite of course). It's always fresh with herbal hake or a thigh of crystallized can to tomato oil, to finish with apricot clafoutis and dough cream. A Smart family is happy to take the time of a meal.

This summer, there are always buoys on the terrace. However, there is no risk of drowning. The Rhône is not far, but come on! Chez les Garçons is the relaxed class. It is the sweet way in which you are asked your first name when booking -because you should book not to fall into the water - and in which you are welcomed in a simple way, as a friend who comes to eat at home.  Chez les Garçons is a bouchon even down to its decoration, with an incredible number of heteroclite objects that perfectly blends together. Good taste, it's everywhere. The small summer terrace is a boon, but the dining room is a refuge where everyone finds their way. You feel comfortable. Bruno and Patrick are lovely people who pamper you before, during and after the service, always with a kind word. On the menu, as in true bouchons, you won't find necessarily Lyon specialties but fresh ingredients and the daily specials are really Lyon ... in tune with the times. It is thus difficult to tell you what you will eat, according to the inspiration of the market and the season, but Futé enjoyed an Oriental Pie served with a mint sauce, semolina and salad. A treat. The lemon pie, homemade of course, at the time of dessert, was excellent. Impressive with simplicity and kindness.
