Vérin is located on the banks of the Rhône, on the borders of the Rhône and the Loire. A village of bargemen with many hamlets climbing the hillsides. Bearing on its slopes the famous Château Grillet - where the Maréchal des Logis of Louis XII was received in 1505 and Pascal in 1652 - which produces an exceptional wine on one of the smallest AOPs in France (3.8 ha), the commune of Vérin remains confidential, but its name is renowned for wine lovers throughout the world. The path called Béatrice de Roussillon links Vérin to the Chartreuse de Sainte-Croix. To admire the landscape of the Rhone Valley, you must take the road to Le Châtelard.
