At the gates of Annecy, 10 km to the west, and to the west of the Albanais, Lovagny is located on the edge of the Aix-les-Bains - Annecy railway line. This village takes its name from the wolves that used to live in these wooded areas. The commune is especially famous for its two exceptional sites: the Fier gorges and the Montrottier castle.
