Gateway to the Bauges, Cusy is a rural town with a rich historical past: castellany of the Counts of Savoy in the Middle Ages, then lordship of Fésigny in the 15th century and of Fesnay in the 17th century. Today, a beautiful private residence emerges from these vestiges: the castle of Fésigny, with its two watchtowers to the west, located on the hill (it cannot be visited). The town is also known for its impressive metal suspension bridge between Cusy and Gruffy: the Abîme bridge, built in 1887, 72.60 meters long, 4.20 meters wide, which spans the Chéran at a height of 96 meters. Several hiking trails start from this bridge
