At the gates of the Parc Régional Naturel des Bauges, Michel Mathiez's hives are home to millions of bees. Here you can taste the famous honeys, which come in a variety of varieties: acacia, chestnut, fir (spicier) and "all flowers of the Alps". The tastes are pronounced and the textures greedy. This artisan producer also produces a hazelnut confit or chestnut cream. Buy on the spot (call ahead) and at the Annecy market on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
