Travel Guide Plaisians

This village of less than 200 inhabitants and with a strong rural identity is a very large commune, made up of several hamlets located on either side of the Clue, set in the heart of nature. Plaisians is the kingdom of olive trees, apricots, cherries and lime trees. Two geological features mark the landscape: the omnipresent Mont Ventoux and a monumental rocky barrier, La Clue. The road passes between two rocky walls in an impressive passage. You cross the large farms of the hamlets: Estèves, Arnauds, Allègres (where the town hall and church are located), Leydiers, Rustres, Rameaux, and finally Girards where the ancient Saint-Roch chapel is located. You continue to climb and after crossing a small pass, you discover Ayguières with its legendary chapel and its spring with abundant and refreshing water. Here the blue of the lavender fields rivals that of the sky. It is the paradise of sheep herds.
