This rural commune of 160 inhabitants is located at the crossroads of 4 departmental roads, on more than 3,000 ha. It is composed of small hamlets or isolated houses, staged 270 m, at the bridge over the Turzon near the hamlet of Chazalet, at 789 m, at the Serre de Barrite above the hamlet of Grosjeanne. Although it does not have a town centre, it still has a temple and a church in the Bruzac district and another temple in the Girbaud district, a place where a communal hall is also located, while the town hall is located in the Monistrol district. The commune shelters, in height, the ruins of the castle of Pierregourde. From hamlet to hamlet, beautiful landscapes are emerging. Here passes the GR42. To stay: a campsite and gîtes.
