The name of this village, at its origins, would come from the Roman god Felinus who presided over the north and south winds, winds that undoubtedly prevail here. This plateau is ideally located for the development of agriculture and vineyards, although urbanization has been progressing well over the past ten years. The municipality extends west to the Col du Fayet and its shaded roads are well known to cyclists and motorcyclists. A village where it is nice to take a break to enjoy the surrounding nature and the good local products. There is also a Feline in the neighbouring department of Drôme, but its entire name is Félines-sur-Rimandoule, even if everyone talks about Félines... As for the Félines ardéchois, it borders a site known throughout France and beyond: the safari of Peaugres where you can see... lions. Located at a crossroads often used between the Ardèche and the Loire, "a" giant step away, on the side of Maclas, very close, and the old industrial town Annonay, one of its roads climbs towards the passes and its entrance roads into the Pilat Regional Park.
