This charming village, deserted in the middle of the 20th century with more than a hundred people, has since been repopulated with 450 inhabitants today. Its environment is appreciated, sheltered from a mountainous ridge, facing a plateau cultivated with orchards, vines, fields and meadows. Away from major roads, this preserved village is quite charming. Bathed by the Limony, Vinzieux is home to one of the sites of the Barou mills specialising in the manufacture of viscose, founded in 1918. This company produces shawls, stoles, scarves and scarves under the Lyre brand, marketed on the Lupé site. From the outside, you can see the original mill and its water mill, in its own juice, at the end of the magnificent Pont de la Pierre. It is in this commune that the Col de Fayet is located where you will necessarily put your foot on the ground to enjoy the panorama.
