Situated in the middle of the Dombes region, Saint André-le-Bouchoux (400 inhabitants) has no major historical remains apart from its Romanesque church (11th-15th century), which is a listed building. It is the whole of the natural environment of the commune which constitutes the essential of its heritage. Its ponds cover an area of 225 ha. The main bodies of water are the pond Grand Romans and the pond Old. The fauna and flora are particularly rich. Two restaurants welcome gourmets and offer, of course, the frogs of the Dombes on the menu. To the south of the town, the Pampilles farm (goat breeding) is worth a visit.
