Situated at the foot of Mont Lachens, the highest peak in the Var and a mecca for hang-gliding at 1,715 m, La Bastide is nestled in a small, green valley where centuries-old oaks stand. Between mountains and forests, nature is exuberant. You would not think you were in the Var anymore. In addition to the narrow streets of the village, beautiful walking paths in the middle of nature offer a view of the mountains and the valley that we never tire of admiring. In terms of monuments, let's note the church, the old post office or a beautiful house dating from the 17th century, which looks like a castle with its corner turrets, its mullioned windows and which now houses the town hall.
