Nestled in the heart of a verdant plateau, the village of Saint-Vallier takes its name from a legendary bishop of Antibes, a fifth-century martyr under the yoke of the Visigoths who had conquered Provence. In 1957, the site adopted the definitive name of Saint-Vallier-de-Thiey, in homage to the majestic mountain that watches over the village, rising to 1,553 meters. On March 2, 1815, Emperor Napoleon left his mark on this small commune in the Alpes-Maritimes, immortalized by a column in the Place de l'Apié. Just a few kilometers from Grasse, this bucolic village with its pleasant meadow is the ideal place to get away from it all.
