The inhabitants of the original village, based in Méaulx, came to settle on this site in the 17th century and thus created Claviers, built on a rocky ridge, in a landscape of oak and pine forests. The castle that stood above the village was razed during the Wars of Religion. The chapel of Saint-Sylvestre was built on its site in 1636. The Sainte-Anne chapel was built in the 17th century on the summit of Le Puy, at an altitude of 600 metres. From its square, you can enjoy a superb panorama.
