Originally settled on a cliffside, Sauliac moved to a terrace above a meander in the Célé in the 19th century. Between 1840 and 1850, the Célé road linked Bouziès to Figeac. The route bypassed Sauliac, precipitating the abandonment of the village, whose ruins face the Château de Géniès, an ancient Roman castrum. Attractions: views over the Celé valley along the path through the "old village" (part of the GR 651), troglodytic dwellings, dolmens, etc. Near Blars is the Robinet cave (closed to visitors), whose stalactites are said to have been used to make objets d'art to adorn the châteaux of Catherine de Médicis.
