Attached to the commune of Sauliac-sur-Célé, Cuzals is a small village situated in the Célé valley, 6 km from Cabrerets, 8 km from Pech-Merle and 16 km from Saint-Cirq-Lapopie. The place is an open door to the rural, agricultural and architectural world of the Quercy region of yesteryear with its Ecomuseum labelled Musée de France. The road towards the small medieval village of Marcilhac-sur-Célé - which overlooks the castle of Géniès (16th century) - offers a unique panorama of the old Sauliac and its cliff sheltering caves which were once fortified to serve as a refuge during the various conflicts (Hundred Years' War etc.).
