On the borders of the Lot and Lot-et-Garonne Saint-Martin-le-Redon is a charming little medieval village built near a mineral water spring called Saint-Martial. The village is located in the Thèze valley, it seems to have been occupied since the Paleolithic. The land is rich and explains the settlement of Man. In the Gallo-Roman period, a road crosses the village to connect it to Duravel. In the Middle Ages, the Roman road became the Chemin des Auvergnats. Nowadays, it is a hiking trail. Come and discover the curious Gothic tower of Mescalpres in the woods, the Romanesque church, the towers of the castle of Guiral.
