The medieval village of Crocq developed in concentric semi-circles at the foot of the castle that Robert I, the dolphin of Auvergne, had built on a rocky spur overlooking the valley of the Tardes. From the old castle and the fortifications built in the 14th century remain two massive round towers from the 12th century, as well as the remains of a parapet walk. At the top of one of the towers, an orientation table allows you to discover the region. Walking through the small streets of the town, you will discover beautiful stone houses, wells, old paving gutters and traces of a skill that has made the reputation of the city: the work of skins.
