NOTRE-DAME DE LA VISITATION CHAPEL
Chapel founded in the century, housing a remarkable triptych in Crocq
Founded in the 12th century, then modified in the 14th and 15th centuries, this chapel is well worth a visit. It houses a remarkable 16th-century triptych, listed as a Monument Historique, depicting the life of Saint Éloi in seven painted wooden panels. Other highlights include the 12th-century Virgin Mary in polychrome wood, the altar with its two altar steps, the tabernacle and the architectural altarpiece. The hexagonal bell tower, pierced by six bays, is intriguing: it is thought to be the former lantern of the dead.
