Located in the north of Lozère, in Margeride, Sainte-Eulalie is a small rural commune with only forty inhabitants, which makes it the least populated commune of the department. It is rich in a remarkable natural heritage: a Natura 2000 site (the "mountain of Margeride") and four natural areas of ecological, faunistic and floristic interest. In the heart of the village stands a small chapel dating from the 18th century, dedicated to Saint Elisabeth and of neo-Romanesque construction. It replaced the old Romanesque church of the village, the oldest mention of which dates back to 1277
