Ready for a ride in a horse-drawn carriage or a sleigh ride among the buffalo? This surprising visit is to be made in Sainte-Eulalie.

In a horse-drawn carriage or in a sleigh in winter, escorted by guides who are as knowledgeable as they are friendly, the one-hour walk through the park is in itself a great moment, with its views of the Margeride! While crossing the forest, we will be able to discover some specimens of the biggest mammal of Europe. Reintroduced in the 1990's when it had disappeared since the 1950's from the Lozère landscapes and was on the way to extinction in Europe, this bison has Polish roots, which has allowed it to adapt perfectly to the harsh living conditions of the Margeride. Depending on the season, it is easier to find males, and more rarely females accompanied by their "young". Although in captivity and fed by the staff of the reserve, they remain wild and do not let themselves be approached easily. This is why, among other things, the park is home to a few slightly more domesticated American cousins, with very marked morphological differences. In addition to the visit, a museographic space allows to better know this animal which crossed the centuries since the Prehistory. Also on the spot, a restaurant serves mainly products from the Lozere region, which are renewed according to the seasons. In summer, country pâté, dry country ham and cheese are served with generous salads, while in winter, soups come to warm up those who have chosen to discover the park under its beautiful white coat.

One transferred by horse-drawn carriage in the heart of the bison: very nice, as much for the horses and fashion locomotion for bison which should be a little sought sometimes but when the guide case in research, it is super! ...
super walk in a horse-drawn carriage in the heart of the bison on a good size
