This large rural village, near Pézenas, Béziers and Bédarieux, is ideally located. Already mentioned in the th century, the village has numerous Gallo-Roman remains buried, it is organized around the medieval nucleus. Roujan was a fortified village with ramparts and ditches. There are now only three out of six doors. The ramparts of the ramparts remain visible in the lower street and the courtyard of the castle preserved the hexagonal th century tower. The past of the typically southern village is also brilliantly represented by the th century Gothic Church Saint-Laurent, to the south of the village La chapelle Saint-Nazaire of the th century.
