Goussainville, which merged with the commune of Champagne in 2015, is part of the Communauté de Commune du Pays Houdanais, even though it lies on the Eure-et-Loir side. To the north, you'll find the hamlet of Orval with its château and old houses, watered by the Vesgre river. To the south, the hamlet of Champagne is the village's former center, with its 11th-century Sainte-Croix church whose bell tower houses the "Hélène" bell. To the east, it shares with Houdan the hamlet of La Forêt and its delightful square with four hundred-year-old lime trees. Finally, in the heart of the commune, the 14th-century parish church of Saint-Aignan and its bell named "Marie".
