Grendelbruch has been home to a variety of peoples since the Bronze Age. Excavation of the burial mounds discovered between Mollkirch and Rosenwiller unearthed a sword blade, a dagger blade and two fibulae found among clay pottery. Rising to an altitude of 540 metres, the village is an ideal starting point for beautiful hikes, thanks to the many trails laid out by the Club Vosgien. You can reach the Grendelbruch signpost, which offers a panoramic view over the Alsace plain and the Forêt Noire, as far as the Bruche valley and the Vosges mountain range, with the temple-crowned Donon in the distance.
