Thirty kilometers east of the Bordeaux metropolis, the village of Espiet offers visitors the chance to discover its two listed buildings: the pretty little church of Notre-Dame, founded in the 12th century and topped with tiles and a small bell-wall; and a fortified15th-century water mill. But people also come to the area to visit the Sauveterre-Blasimon-Espiet cooperative winery, which brings together the production of 165 member winegrowers from the region.
