Taking its source on the Neubourg plain, the small ru du Bec is a tributary of the Risle which flows near Pont-Authou. Half as wide as the Risle valley, the Bec valley retains its major characteristics: a U-shaped profile, framed by two wooded hills and a flat alluvial bottom, covered with hedged meadows. But it is above all the nearby abbey of Bec-Hellouin and the charm of its village that makes it a well-known site
