" Château-Chalon, well known. Ménétru, the believer, is responding to the inhabitants of both communes. The wine-growing village of Ménétru-le-Vineyard is only a few hundred metres away from the bird's flight of Château-Chalon, and its vineyards are part of the same «well-known» AOC. Ménétru is a beautiful village with a round or square tower. In the heart of the village, a th century strong house, rebuilt in the th century, is classified historic monument. From a medieval castle to Gaillardon, there is only one ring of wall. The church, at the southern end of the village, dates back to the th century. Visible from afar, the cross of Beaumont is accessible through a trail to a lookout that dominates Voiteur, Domblans and part of the plain of Bresse. Hiking enthusiasts will also appreciate the marked tour through the vineyards.
