The village of Ladoye, built at the bottom of one of the «fingers» of the distant De, belonged to the abbey of Château-Chalon. Above, on the plateau, a hamlet overlooks it: " Ladoye Barns "from where you have a beautiful view over the remote. It is here, as the hamlet name indicates, that barns in village A Ladoye, two stone bridges cross the Fit river, and on a tributary, three mills were set up, one of which is still equipped with an active wheel. Besides, the remains of an old hydraulic plant testify to the importance of water in the activity of this village. The name of the commune itself indicates that: senegalese, which comes from the "lower Latin", has nothing to do with the digitée form of the remote which draws fingers, but means "collected source", "water pipe".
