Situated on the banks of the Rhine River, Gerstheim is halfway between Strasbourg and Selestat. The large wetlands bordering this village invite you to the promenade, as is its nature trail called Langgrund. For technology lovers, the hydroelectric plant deserves a look. Inaugurated in 1967, it has locks to allow boats to pass through the large Alsace canal and to the Rhine.
