Thanks to its sunny location, the village boasts a wide variety of vegetation: vineyards on the foothills, chestnut and oak groves, and pine forests. Inhabited since prehistoric times, then again in Roman times, the Nazza region has many traces of the latter period, including "U Lagu Santu", probably a place of worship to the Roman gods. At the entrance to the village, the ruins of the 11th-century fortification "u casteddu" are still visible. In Poggio, a number of self-catering cottages are available, and you can take advantage of the opportunity to discover the immense natural swimming pool, the "trou du diable" or "pignola".
