This charming village is in fact the nerve center of the Ampugnani valley (one of the three valleys that make up the Castagniccia region), both in the heart of the forest and open enough to provide a vantage point from which to observe the surrounding villages. You won't want to miss the atypical five-storey campanile (45 metres high), separate from the Saint-Jean-Baptiste church. Both date back to the 18th century. Go to the village square, where you'll find a war memorial, and look up to see the Saint-Sébastien chapel, rebuilt in 1890.
