Situated 30 km from Tours, Blois and Vendôme, between the Gâtine tourangelle and the Petite Beauce, Château-Renault is a town to discover! In the 12th century, Count Thibaut IV of Blois built a keep surrounded by walls. As time went by, the town was built around it. Château-Renault is also known for its leather industry, particularly specialised in leather soles. Today, it retains the memory of this industry with its tannery museum. Bordered by parks, tourist circuits (Compostelle, but also those of the Royalty) and cultural facilities, the town can be visited on foot. The rose garden of the castle is a must.
