Rochecorbon, 8 km north-east of Tours, is built on a hillside, between the Loire and the vineyards, which gives it its beauty and originality. Along the main road, you will see on one side the royal river, on the other side the tufa rock, its troglodytic habitats, but also superb private mansions. It is not surprising to find the workshop of the Touraine sculptor Michel Audiard. Visit the Saint-Georges chapel and its crypt dug in the tufa rock, before finishing with a glass of vouvray at the guinguette. Since 2022, a farmers' market is held every Saturday from 8am to 1pm on the Observatory square.
