(Mount Kochersberg) It dominates the village of Neugartheim and the small valley of Rohrbach. Like Haut-Barr in Saverne and Strasbourg Cathedral, this 300 m summit was a relay of the Chappe telegraph network. First installed at the top of the Gœftberg, it was transferred to the Kochersberg only in 1820. The summit also housed a castle in the shade built in 1334. The building was probably composed of a tower and a vast courtyard included in a land rampart.
