Since 1820, the medicinal qualities of the thermal water of Mondorf-les-Bains are recognized. Its first spring was discovered in the 19th century, while it was not until 1846 for the Kind spring, 1913 for the Marie-Adélaïde spring and 1979 for the Michel Lucius spring. As early as 1886, however, thermal infrastructures were developed, whose Art Nouveau style facades bear witness to the city's prosperity. Still known for its modern spa, its splendid park and its many restaurants, Mondorf is the only city in Luxembourg to have a casino, which beyond the gaming tables, serves as an entertainment center
