It was brought back to life in the 18th century by the Bourbon-Deux-Siciles family, who ruled Naples. Today, the Herculaneum Archaeological Park allows visitors to discover the remains of this ancient Roman city. It's advisable to buy tickets online to avoid waiting times, especially during peak periods. Visitors under 12 years of age must be accompanied. The park also offers discounts for young people aged 18 to 25.

A major shopping centre with the East, in particular, the Amalfi Maritime Republic rivals two main cities: Pisa and Genoa. In 1135 Amalfi, however, fell into the hands of the Republic of Pisa. Submitted, she nevertheless enriched herself with her main buildings, still preserved today. Its cathedral, from the end of the th century, remains the most important monument of the Amalfi coast and makes the city glory. Dedicated to Saint Andrea, it presents a majestic staircase, a porch adorned with a bronze door from Constantinople and a polychrome mosaics facade.
