Wine store with wooden counter and furniture with amphorae on the shelves

In front of the building, the wine shop with its counter overlooking the street gives an idea of a business of the time. One will also notice the exceptional conservation of the wooden furniture, with the amphorae arranged on the shelves. Inside the domus, in the summer triclinium, a superb mosaic panel representing Neptune, god of the oceans, and his wife Amphitrite, goddess of the sea. Next to it, the nymphaeum is decorated with mosaics representing dogs chasing deer.

S'il ne fallait en voir qu'une ou deux...
C'est l'une des trois plus belles maisons d'Herculanum, site qui conserve un charme particulier dû à sa petitesse par rapport à Pompéi sur-fréquentée et à sa conservation exceptionnelle. La mosaïque est particulièrement belle. Mais n'oubliez pas qu'à Ercolano, il y a le "mille d'or" avec des villas du XVII et XVIII siècle remarquables comme la villa Campolieto, à dix minutes à pied d'Herculanum

Une des plus belles maisons d'Herculanum. Très belle mosaïque à voir.
On se croirait vraiment à l'époque romaine.
Comme la ville est restée sous 30 mètres de boue pendant des milliers d'années, tout est très bien conservé.
