In the Stinga family, the craft of marquetry has been passed down for several generations. The workshop is now run by Roberto and Franco, who perpetuate this know-how rooted in Sorrento tradition. In their shop, boxes (depending on the style, between 35 and 280 €), paintings, furniture and various wooden objects are offered for sale. Mr. Gennaro Tavassi is one of the best craftsmen of the island, still working traditionally in the art of ceramics. Trained by the potter, painter and sculptor Sergio Rubino, whose reputation is well known, he follows his path. This craftsman, inspired by the island of Capri, its bright colours and dazzling light, offers varied, refined and meticulous creations, populated with marine creatures and hand-painted Mediterranean symbols.

Not a store per se, but rather a showroom where Alessandra, ceramist and creator of leather design furniture, presents her creations. If you are tired of traditional ceramic designs, you will appreciate the contemporary shapes and colorful research of the artist who says she is deeply inspired by her city. Among the leather creations: stools, armchairs, blinds... Alessandra and her husband also own the B&B Tribù and vacation apartments furnished with some of her creations.

At the entrance to Vietri from Salerno, it is impossible to miss this imposing glass and ceramic building that celebrates local craftsmanship: Vietri ceramics. Designed in 1954 by the Italian architect Paolo Soleri, it houses a large shop where all the pieces are handmade.
