A restaurant specialising in grills, Buffalo Grill is mainly appreciated by children but also travellers, since it is not uncommon to find the sign on the roads of France. Yet the rates are quite high, for a quality of questionable cooking. We're more in fast-food than in restaurant-type recipes. It is indeed a question of eating a just cooked meat, with some fries and a sauce… not what to justify an average price for a à la carte menu of around EUR.

At the sign of this restaurant in the narrow Rue Lanterne, we would expect that one does not come here to eat a large vegetarian salad… Behind these beautiful stone walls, Futé found one of the best meat restaurants in the city. It is highly advisable to book, because the address - open for 5 years - attracts a beautiful clientele, rather "night" one (another Butcher and adjoining address is open at lunchtime), which comes to enjoy famous cocktails - the boss of the place is a specialist in the field - while listening to good sound. And we must admit that it is particularly good, with pieces that are not often found in traditional restaurants. Menu reduced to a dozen dishes, with the unmissable homemade burger and its potatoes, while you are more gladly advised to enjoy matured meat, such as a beautiful beef rib or exceptional meast, at affordable prices, with Angus beef, the Wagyu (famous Japanese beef with parsley) or beautiful Galician beef ribs of 40 days maturation… Other specialty of the place: whisky, in which meat enjoys being marinated. In short, a carnivorous address in the heart of the city is not to displease Futé which recommends.

In the heart of the pedestrian zone and a few steps from the lake, the terrace of this large brewery always little over the seasons and hours of the day. With Patricia in the kitchen and Laurent in the dining room, Valence has its address as an organic slow food, locavoreand yet gastronomic. We like the vintage neo-bistro atmosphere of this Apron, the warmth and kindness of Laurent as well as Patricia's talent to sublimate vegetables and other carefully selected ingredients. Every day: three starters, two main courses and several desserts. The dishes are very beautiful and really tasty as with these carrots roasted on carrot cream with candied kumquat, fresh herbs, olive oil and roasted hazelnuts, then this label red salmon lacquered with tariyaki sauce, Thai rice, sesame seeds. During a stroll in the Gorges de la Loire, do not hesitate to stop at the friendly Auberge des 4 Chemins for a gastronomic break only a few minutes from Le Pertuiset. In this hostel, you are offered a different menu every day as well as packages with a really interesting price-quality ratio. You will enjoy a traditional cuisine based on fresh produce that highlights the riches of Forézienne with, in particular, sausages, modernised grated meats and their trilogy of homemade desserts. As soon as the sun comes back, you can enjoy the pleasant terrace. Groups are also welcome.

How good it is good to have a meal in Les Halles de Lyon Paul Bocuse to enjoy the best products presented behind the shop windows of the gourmet signs. Pork meat, lyonnaiseries, cheeses… but also fish with the excellent idea of an exceptional house, the Maison Pupier, offer us a delicious Fish Bar backed by the City's best fish store. A concept set up by the newcomers, Nicolas and Florent, of a Pupier house where the excellent Monique Pupier always radiates, this unique Fish Bar in Lyon allows us to choose among the best fish. Before you go to the elegant "counter", you go around the stall to choose your fish, to see it prepared and cooked on site before you eat it in the best conditions and well accompanied by small seasonal vegetables. The cost: 15% of the price of fish in addition to eat on-site with a smiling service! So, you shouldn't deprive yourself of such pleasure to enjoy the best flavours of the sea live on your plate. Flavours preserved thanks to the Japanese slaughter method Ikejime, once again an exclusive signature of Pupier house. Wonderful fish carpaccio, skewers which are the speciality of the Pupier house, fish & chips that will make you forget all the others, tuna caught on line, sea bass matured, grilled lobster… Every visit is a true festival of flavours on the plates accompanied by a good glass of wine (fine list of wine by the glass, including an excellent Marguerite Guyot champagne). Without a doubt the best address for eating fish in Lyon.

The burgers offered by Le Montagnard are among the best we have ever had. Homemade with local and fresh products, and gourmet with their Auvergne cheese, they are delicious. Vegetarians are not to be outdone, as each burger is offered without meat, also replaced by a potato rösti. Each burger requires at least 15 minutes of preparation, the chef warns, you will have to be patient, but the wait is really worth it. While SMS preorders are convenient for those who know the place, they leave little room for improvisation during busy times.

The Estredelle enjoys a spacious room and a pleasant and relaxing view over the Allier river. Its originality is in its buffet formula for which you can opt for entry and dessert. The Rochetaillée hostel offers a good meal with a superb panoramic view in a former expedition. Its view of the valley is incomparable, and the decoration, with its old ceiling and wooden tables, is worth a look. The restaurant serves traditional dishes and local products.
