The new bistronomic restaurant in Valmeinier 1800 is both a wine bar and a restaurant. Double choice then. On the one hand, aperitif platters with charcuterie and local produce to nibble on in complete conviviality, and on the other, a menu and dishes to savour, prepared by Géraldine, the chef, who trained at the Institut Paul Bocuse. With her partner Michel, she offers an inventive cuisine based on regional produce, with a focus on quality, while surprising the taste buds of visitors. Beautifully presented plates, a friendly welcome, warm decor and excellent value for money: what more could you ask for? All you have to do is enjoy the moment.

Un service parfait, des plats satisfaisants.
Tout allait pour le mieux jusqu’a ce que mon amie se casse une dent avec un morceau de pain dur. Nous en avons trouver plusieurs autres par la suite. En en discutant avec un responsable à la fin du repas nous n’avons eu pour seul retour « C’est le pain de Savoie c’est normal, ça ne vient pas de ça »…
J’espère simplement que les habitants de la Savoie ont une bonne mutuelle dentaire….
Bref un dénouement peu honnête et qui laisse à désirer au vue des tarifs.
Petit bémol sur la quantité des assiettes, après un journée de ski on aurait aimé un peu plus à manger.
Mais sinon tt était top.
